Mudd Creek Retrievers was established in 2021 and is owned and operated by Marcus and Vicky (Martinez) Bellow of Ronan, Montana. Our goal at MCR is to meet the needs of clients seeking a well-trained retriever for bird hunting and hunt test competitions.

With over 10 years of experience, we’ve served customers all over the country including those from the Pacific Northwest, Utah, North Dakota, Texas, and Canada.

Marcus and Vicky Bellow

About the Trainer:

Marcus Bellow grew up surrounded by bayous, rice and crawfish fields in Eunice, Louisiana. At a young age he developed an interest in dogs and hunting. After college and while in the Marines, Marcus wanted to train his own hunting dog and his interest in training retrievers grew from there. He has had success at every level from field trials to AKC/HRC hunt tests.

Marcus has spent the last 10 years learning from some of the best trainers in the country. His professional career started working as an assistant trainer with Ryan Brasseaux of Native Sun Retrievers based in Bunkie, Louisiana. Transitioning on to Midway Retrievers and learning under Tim Milligan in Texas. He soon advanced his career under the mentorship of Professional Retriever Trainer Eric Fangsrud of Mission Mountain Retrievers (MMR) in Ronan, MT.  After working for MMR as an Assistant Professional trainer for five years, Marcus ventured out to fulfill his dream of opening up and running his own kennel.

Marcus enjoys working closely with his clients, teaching the owner how to handle the dog is directly proportional to the success of the dog in the field or in the duck blind.
